Summer Games Registration for 2024

Summer is fast approaching!
RYC & Reston Hoops Summer Basketball is the longest running league in Northern Virginia.
The 2023 season was filled to capacity.
Be sure to register once registration opens or risk being placed on a waiting list.


Online Regisitration will be opening April 19th.

2024 Player Registration
 
New Policy for 2024
All players will Register and Pay Individually
This applies to Individuals and Registering Team Members
Player Registration Information:
  Included with registration is a League jersey and all processing and mandatory County fees
  • Player Registration Deadline: May 31st
  • Individual registration: $170.00
  • Out of County: $200.00 (includes the $30 out of county fee)
  • A $10.00 Early Bird discount will automatically be applied if registered before May 1st
  • Multiple player (siblings) discounts available online. $25.00 off for each sibling. Players must be registered at the same time.

  • Team Players will be placed on their team based on the Coach Name entered in their registration and matching the submitted roster from the Registered Coach.
 
Registration Notes:
  • All "Free Agent" players must attend the Evaluation - those that will be drafted into a team for summer play and not part of a pre-set registering full team roster.
  • Instructional players (1st/2nd Grade - Future Stars) do not attend evaluations
Scholarship Registration:
  • Players that will be registering and submitting a scholarship application, you are also required to register online by May 31st.
  • The total reduced amount requested is $50.00, and payment options are available if needed, and your player will be successfully entered in to the system.
  • A completed scholarship form must be received prior to May 31st to have your player eligible for season play.

    Pre-formed Team Coach Steps
  • Coach/Team Requirements due by May 31st to be eligible. Eligibility is based on completing all:
    • Coach Application Form.  Complete the online Coach Application Form.
    • Roster Information,  Download the RYC Registration Roster spreadsheet and email the completed roster to summer@restonhoops.com
    • All Players Register in the system. Player's guardians will register players individually following the guidelines above: Player Registration Information
    • Scholarship Paperwork, player's guardian responsibility to send completed forms to Reston Summer League by emailing summer@restonhoops.com.
    • Full Roster, Teams will have until May 24th to bring the roster up to 10 players or the League will add players to your roster.
    • As a head coach, you will receive a free single player registration. Ensure you select to be a Head Coach in your players registraion.
    Draft-formed Team Coach Steps
  • Sign up to become a coach this summer! A rewarding experience, no prior coaching is required.
    • Coach Application Form.  Complete the online Coach Application Form.
    • As a head coach, you will receive a free single player registration. Ensure you select to be a Head Coach in your players registraion.
    • The league will be in contact before the season starts regarding the formation of Teams.
 
    For all multi-team coaches
  • If you are registering more than one team this season:
    • Each of your teams will have the SAME team name. Allows for easier scheduling conflict resolution.

  • Duties: Set Up and oversee League Games throughout the season. This includes observing the referees, running & reporting the score clock and book, ensuring league games are running smoothly and reporting scores to the league at the end of each game. GM's may have additional opportunities to support as Evaluators and Trainers.
